Cooking with gas....

It was a more relaxed and quiet evening last night with Largo and Bernard cooking up dinner. Largo who runs a small tour company here showed up at my hotel last night and said that his chef has just been in an accident a few hours ago and couldn't cook for our class so he decided to just buy a few things and invite his friend from South Africa to join us for dinner. We sautéed some fresh Padron peppers in olive oil, steamed up fresh mussels in garlic and white wine and made a salad. What could be better?  Yum. We sat around taking and eating and I told them I had done the Camino last year. Largo said that one of the other Camino routes passed through San Sebastián and took me after dinner to show me the route a few blocks away. It brought back some good memories seeing the markers. I think I might head to St Jean Pied du Port tonight, a few hours away , where I started the Camino last year on my way to Fontenbleau where I'll meet up with Olivier and the boys tomorrow.

Buen Camino
Dave
